Stocksbridge Rugby welcomed 5th placed leeds medics to a cold & breezy stocksbridge. The pigs made they're customary slow start against opponents determined to run the ball from everywhere showing great off loading skills but they were met with strong stocksbridge defence until on 20 mins slick handling put the leeds winger in for a converted try. This woke the pigs from their slumber & they proceeded to batter the leeds line with the Brown brothers prominent until Liam "the gypsy O'leary crashed over for an unconverted try ,This spurred leeds into action & they kicked 2 penalties to lead 13 - 5 at half time. Following strong words from both the Coaching staff & Senior players, stocksbridge flee out of the traps with Joe the Stocksbridge hunk" Smith & Craig " the Beast " Donaldson smashing into a desperate leeds defence until Skipper Keenan & Joe "the Stocksbridge hunk" smith combined to send the latter over for an unconverted try. Again leeds displayed good handling to score another unconverted try to leave pigs trailing 18 -10 with 20 mins left. Stocksbridge's powerful forwards then took over & the human wrecking ball Craig "the beast" Donaldson powered through some tired defence to score out wide leaving the pigs only 3 points adrift , In the final minute technique & dynamic prop lambert won a penalty follow a scrum infringement & Bowskill kicked the penalty to level it up 18 -18. The Bradfield Brewary Man of the match award was snapped up by Young Tommy Spencer who carries on to impress match after match !!!

Despite losing a golf match against Martin Bye Saturday morning Assistant coach Mick Shouler said " I suck at golf but today was A good fast , physic game of rugby & we got out of jail! However credit the boys for their determination & effort . We have'nt played how we want to but that was mainly due to the quality of opposition. "
