Rugby legend, & iconic British & Irish Lions leader Martin Johnson took time out from a speaking engagement with Sheffield Eagles at the OEC on Thursday to present former Stocksbridge Rugby club captain Adam Roles-Middlehurst with his winners medal from the Fox Valley Trophy series during the season just finished. Globe Holidays sponsored Stocksbridge Rugby won the series against local rivals Wortley RUFC by 2 games to 1, & Roles-Middlehurst missed the club's awards night recently. 'it came as a bit of a shock', admitted the player, 'but what an honour to receive my medal from the man himself'. The Stocksbridge club were well represented at the dinner with 2 full tables of players & other club members.
