After a few weeks off, this Saturday sees Stocksbridge Rugby return to the field for a home fixture at the Coal Pit Lane Arena. The recent break has allowed the pool of injured players additional rest which sees a few returning for the selection roster, strengthening the squad selection.
This Saturday's fixture is set to be a 15:00 kick off and we welcome the Humber travellers Hessle to the North Sheffield Highlands. The fixture is also our annual sponsors day where we plan to host our club Sponsors for the day, offering them an afternoons entertainment of Countys Yorkshire 4 rugby at Coal Pit Lane. Following this will be the aftermatch presentations with Pie & peas for all players and sponsors at the club house on Manchester Road. This will also see our club chairman Mr Philip Watts make his speech thanking our valued club Sponsors and for their continued support thoughout the seasons. It doesn't finish there, as all the 6 nations matches will also be on in the Stocksbridge Rugby Club house, to continue the Rugby packed day.
In other news the senior coaching team are pleased to announce the Bradfield Brewery Man of Steel award for February has been awarded to that man Adam Frith, for his contributions to the games, courage in the face of the opposition and enthusiasm in training. Good work Frithy, Adam is sponsored by Brian Mills Painting & Decorating Services.
