Globe Holidays sponsored Stocksbridge Rugby Club will celebrate their 60^th playing anniversary along with their annual, seasonal awards night presentation at the Manchester Road HQ this Friday 19^th May. Tickets are selling fast, & only a few remain for the event which begins at 6pm. The programme which will include food & speeches from the Club’s Captain, that man Adam Frith, Head Coach Andy Lawrence & outgoing Chairman Andy Bell, will lead into the annual awards for the season just completed. Several trophies are up for grabs, & the Club are indebted to the sponsors for each of them, as ever the blue riband award will be the Players Player, with several of the 1^st XV squad nominated in what has been an improved season for the progressive Stocksbridge Club. Local musician, Stacey Rhodes will provide the live musical entertainment, in what is sure to be a great evening of celebration for season 2022/2023. Chairman, Andy Bell will also thank the committee, volunteers, club partners, bar staff & Club officials for their input & efforts throughout the season.

The bleary eyed Club members will then attend the AGM in the Clubhouse from 2pm prompt the following Day, where ALL members are urged to attend to determine the Club hierarchy for the next season. ‘If you have something to say, this is the place & time to say it’ said a Club official, adding, ‘it’s no use complaining about decisions after you have missed your chance to have your input’.
