Stocksbridge RUFC

The fixtures for the Counties 4 Yorkshire league for season 2023/2024 have just been released, & Globe Holidays sponsored Stocksbridge Rugby will begin their campaign with a tricky away trip to Aireborough in Round 1 on 2^nd Sept.

The first home fixture of the new season will be a Round 2 clash against York RI on 9^th Sept with a 3pm kick off at Coal Pit Lane. The traditional ‘Christmas Jumper’ fixture will be on 16^th Dec with a mouthwatering Round 13 clash against old rivals from Doncaster, Thornensians. The New Year will see the League split into a North & South section, with Stocksbridge entertaining Leeds based Modernians Rugby on 13^th Jan as the opener. Dependant on progress & results, the play off series will begin on 23^rd Mar as Stocksbridge look to continue the success of the last season. There are no local ‘derbys’ as in previous campaigns however, the league seems more structured & if anything stronger to test the Stocksbridge club.

The Senior squad will return to training on 5^th July at their home ground of Coal Pit Lane, new players of any age or standard are always welcome, start time 6.30pm.
