The fixtures for the Counties 4 Yorkshire league for season 2023/2024 have just been released, & Globe Holidays sponsored Stocksbridge Rugby will begin their campaign with a tricky away trip to Aireborough in Round 1 on 2nd Sept.

The first home fixture of the new season will be a Round 2 clash against York RI on 9th Sept with a 3pm kick off at Coal Pit Lane. The traditional ‘Christmas Jumper’ fixture will be on 16th Dec with a mouthwatering Round 13 clash against old rivals from Doncaster, Thornensians. The New Year will see the League split into a North & South section, with Stocksbridge entertaining Leeds based Modernians Rugby on 13th Jan as the opener. Dependant on progress & results, the play off series will begin on 23rd Mar as Stocksbridge look to continue the success of the last season. There are no local ‘derbys’ as in previous campaigns however, the league seems more structured & if anything stronger to test the Stocksbridge club.

The Senior squad will return to training on 5th July at their home ground of Coal Pit Lane, new players of any age or standard are always welcome, start time 6.30pm.
