Globe Holidays sponsored Stocksbridge Rugby suffered their 6th weather related postponement of the season when their away fixture against Leeds Modernians fell foul of the recent storms & rain. Another date will now have to be agreed upon as Stocksbridge will face a busy end of season schedule to fit all their fixtures in. A frustrated Stocksbridge Captain, that man Adam Frith commented, ‘it’s very disappointing, but I guess it can’t be helped,‘ before adding ‘the boys continue to train well, so we really need some competitive action soon !’ Stocksbridge will hope the weather treats them a little better at the weekend as they prepare to travel to the East Coast to face winless Hornsea RUFC, where Stocksbridge will be looking for a victory to further cement their lofty 3rd spot in the Counties 4 Yorkshire (Phase 2) South league ladder. The next home fixture is the clash with Knottingley RUFC at the Coal Pit Lane stadium on Saturday 3rd February, with a kick off time of 2.15pm.
