Rugby club fixtures confirmed

Tue 15 Sep 2026 10:26

After the delayed start for the Counties 4 Yorkshire C competition due to the drought conditions of the summer affecting the playing surfaces, Globe Holidays sponsored Stocksbridge Rugby can now confirm their fixture list for the 2026/27 season, starting with a tough opener when they welcome Dinnington's second string to the newly named 'Grov Park' arena. A notable fixture is the local derby with Wortley RUFC on Saturday 17th October at Wortley.
The club are training well, & preparations are on course for the forthcoming campaign. Luckless forward Will Cuttell suffered a dislocated knee during a recent session & will be sidelined for sometime, whilst player/coach Aaron Kaye is nearing full fitness after a should complaint towards the end of last season.
